TIVO was a big shift in how people watched TV, but everyone understood the concept of TV. No one really understands the concept of, well why would I want my genetic information?
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
I don't really know much about TV and what people want to see. I'm not that well-informed about it.
I feel like I'm part of television history.
We all grew up, our grandmothers and mothers had about three channels to watch, so we watched those soaps and now, a generation has grown up with the Internet and computers and video games.
The TiVo is really an amazing machine. Like everyone who has one, I totally recommend it. Just as everyone who's married will tell you to get married, and everyone who has a baby tells you to have a baby, everyone who owns a TiVo will tell you to get a TiVo, and they'll say things like 'Your life will be completely different.' It's true.
Television is a thing that people get very familiar with. They want to hear your voice in their head.
There's not a lot of really great, deep, serialized television, and we can see from the data that that's what people want.
You know, there's a tremendous amount of genetic propensity not necessarily for what TV shows you like but for literally how you view the world, how you react to things, how things touch you and how things move you.
I don't have TiVo, and I actually don't watch a lot of TV, honestly.
Life is so fast these days, and we're exposed to so much information. Television makes us a witness to such misery.
We all want our genetic information. Why would you not want genetic information?
