One of my complaints with American TV characters is that they all have a particular schtick, a hook.

I think a lot of us are increasingly recognizing that the dominant culture is killing the planet.

We are presented with a unique situation in the black community in that we have embraced the beauty of hip hop, the real rawness of it, the real fun of it, but we also have to address the damage it has done. We have to look at what it's done to our black girls, especially when it comes to domestic violence.

What we have, however, is an issue that has tremendous impact here at home, and we believe that Americans are starting to feel vulnerable, not just from what is going on around the world but right here in the United States.

It's like nothing's really happening. Our culture is almost dead.

We're seeking out such grossness in human behavior and want such mindless entertainment. 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' and some of these other shows are more racist. Or '16 and Pregnant.' Getting rewarded for being pregnant when you're a teenager? Are you serious?

There is something intrinsically, systemically wrong with white, western culture, and if we don't fix it, it won't continue.
