I am a bit of a Valley girl, so I say 'you know' and 'like' too much.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
I'm originally from southern California, so I, like, say 'like', like, a lot. I've been trying to scrub any traces of Valley Girl from my speech since I moved to New York, but it's, like, totally way harder than anyone thinks, you know?
I was technically a Valley Girl, even though I absolutely dreaded being called that. I really hated the idea that I was a Valley Girl.
You can't know too much, but you can say too much.
I don't know much, but I like talking to people who know a lot more than I do.
I love what the Valley does. I love company building. I love startups. I love technology companies. I love new technology. I love this process of invention. Being able to participate in that as a founder and a product creator, or as an investor or a board member, I just find that hugely satisfying.
I was just sitting on my bed in a dormitory room, and I started writing. The thing that was magic about it was that once you put down one word, you could cross it out. I figured that out right away. I put down 'mountain,' and then I'd go, 'No - 'valley.' That's better.'
Sun Valley is one of my favorite spots.
You know more than you think you do.
My valleys are higher than most people's peaks. I stay at that level.
I'm a doofus from the Valley, a blue-collar guy.
