I'm a lot of things at once. I want my audience to choose the side they like most about me.

Others will always seek to define you based on what they think you represent or who they think you are. But you have to be the one to control what you do and what you say and how you present yourself.

Through style, you can communicate to the world who you are and what you stand for.

People appreciate and follow the person who can persuade them properly. Make that person you.

I want people to believe me when I play a part and they are less apt to if they know a lot about me and have associations about me.

I put myself in the place of the listener when editing my writing. The last thing that I want to do is be preached at and told who to be or what to think when listening to an artist. However, I do want to be inspired. There's a fine line.

All you can do is be your best self. I've always felt that I had to be that much more aware of how I present myself. I'm representing more than just me. I think every person should think that way.

I've always been really involved in figuring out who my audience is and how to reach them.

Only in a concert situation do I have access to people directly to preach to them, and I don't believe that the bigger your platform is, the more people will pay attention.
