I don't feel I've had a decent critic ever on the East coast.

It doesn't bother me that I'm not a household word on the East Coast. Baton Rouge, Raleigh, Minneapolis - I'm so popular in these cities where you've never imagined an East Coast comedian working.

There's no doubt in my mind that people on the West Coast - L.A. particularly - and the East Coast have no clue at all about what's happening outside their own little bailiwick. And they think everybody is stupid because they are not sophisticated.

The West Coast is so different from the common perceptions of it.

The L.A. rap scene is popping again because rappers stopped saying 'West Coast.' Nobody says that anymore. Fans of L.A. music were reaching and saying, 'This is West Coast music,' because nobody else liked it.

Being from the Midwest, I would say that I like that East Coast mentality, it's more direct. What you see is what you get.

Everything from Washington's handling of the N.S.A., as well as Apple launching a new iPhone. These events can move billions of dollars in the stock market, and it seems as if the East Coast and West Coast are merging in some respects, so we felt like we needed a little bit more from a content perspective to match what our audience was looking for.

But there is something to the fact that we don't see games on the West Coast, or we don't see games on the East Coast, and stuff like that. It's so unfair, because there is a bias that takes place.

I see how the Midwest distrusts the East Coast. The Midwest sees itself as morally superior. The Coast sees itself as intellectually superior. And the two are actually the same thing.
