In terms of 'Seinfeld', I think there's lot of reality in a show that's supposed to be about nothing.

For centuries, soup kitchens have been a way for local communities to offer a way of support, both nutritional and emotional to their less lucky neighbors.

I think of New York as a puree and the rest of the United States as vegetable soup.

To me, in retrospect, it was amazing that 'Seinfeld' was a show that had such mass appeal. At first it was a disaster in the ratings, but then it became a cultural phenomenon. I don't know if that's possible anymore, but I don't try for that.

Well, I look at it like this: When you go to a restaurant, the less you know about what happens in the kitchen, the more you enjoy your meal. If the soup tastes good, everything's cool, and you don't necessarily want to know what's in it. The same thing holds true with movies.

No one knows restaurants like a New Yorker - they're incredibly discerning and restaurant savvy.
