I consider my music to be Progressive Synth Pop, which says nothing about what it sounds like, but does describe my basic approach.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
I'd call what I do pop music, but it's folky and electronic and it doesn't really sound like much else.
The kind of music I'm trying to make is conscious, to make people think and feel and get inspired.
Most of all I want to make pop music that has something real behind it.
I'm just trying to avoid any sort of generic kind of music - I don't want to do generic jazz or fusion.
My intentions with any of my music is to keep it futuristic and updated and be experimental and try new things.
I kind of always wanted my own music to just sound like, like me, I suppose, like if I was music it would be the music I make, I think.
I agree with the rest of the band, that a truly synthesized sound isn't really what I would want to go for.
Subconciously, the things you listen to and you believe in, those things are going to come out, you know what I mean? I think you take that and make it your sound; that's what I do when I'm putting together genres of music.
It's been a transformative period and I really wanted to make music from what I've experienced.
If you make it sound too much like a synth, it will just sound like a guitar part played on a synth.
