Mind games to me are overrated.

You can't be a creative thinker if you're not stimulating your mind, just as you can't be an Olympic athlete if you don't train regularly.

The mind is absolutely instrumental in achieving results, even for athletes. Sports psychology is a very small part, but it's extremely important when you're winning and losing races by hundredths and even thousandths of a second.

The thought processes that go through my head when I'm playing a game compared to the thought processes in real life are very, very different. And they're more interesting to me than what you think about when you're doing the dishes, cleaning the yard, watching TV, driving or watching a movie.

People think 'Performance' blew my mind... my mind was blown long before that.

When you're playing against a whole bunch of All-Stars, it's like a video game. There's so much talent on the floor at once.

You have to do something when you're lying in bed. So you play with your mind.

Games lubricate the body and the mind.

Self-consciousness can destroy a performance. Getting rid of that is always good.

Any professional athlete will tell you that the mind is everything. For me, there is no shame in saying that I visualize and I meditate, because it really works.
