America's got quite reasonable tax rates from an employee point of view.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
I think we need to have competitive tax rates in order to create jobs in this country. And I think it should be fair.
We cannot tax the same people we expect to create jobs. That is a recipe for keeping people out of work.
I think we're pretty much where we need to be on corporate taxes.
The problem with being an employee or self-employed is you pay the highest taxes.
Taxes should be simple and fair... I'm not for increasing income taxes - if we even have an income tax.
And what's interesting, and I don't think a lot of Americans understand this fact, is that, one, most new jobs are created by small businesses; two, most small businesses pay tax at the individual income tax, or many small businesses pay tax there.
The American taxpayers are a powerful force. They don't want their taxes raised.
It's really American to avoid paying taxes, legally.
The truth is, our corporate income taxes are some of the highest in the world, and frankly, in my judgment it's unpatriotic if you're not for reducing the corporate income tax. We want to make it so American companies are on a more level playing field competing with companies around the world.
The United States already has the highest corporate tax rate in the world.
