When I started DJ'ing, it was no big thing. There was no money in DJ'ing, and you did it purely for the love of playing music.

I think I prefer producing a little more than DJing because you have more freedom, you can make anything you want; it doesn't necessarily have to be four to the floor. You can go more with your mood, or the atmosphere that you're in.

Since I was a kid, I always felt the need to share the music I love with as many people as possible, and DJing seemed like the perfect outlet.

I've been DJing mostly, and most DJs end up producing. That's just me.

I recommend everyone who DJ's to do it as a hobby and make sure you have a day job or are going to school. Only 100 DJ's in the world make a living doing this, by that I mean making a good, comfortable living.

The best thing about being a DJ is making people happy. There is nothing like seeing people get up from a table to dance or the expression on their face when they hear a song they love. I also love to educate people on music they have never heard.

I prefer to unwind by DJing. I learned that from Mike D from the Beastie Boys. After a show, he would DJ. Once I saw that, I wanted to do that. And now DJing is like my lifeline. I love the power it represents.

I've always been DJing; it's just I'm making more of a push for it, making it more public.
