I probably get more inspiration for human stories and idiosyncrasies than I do animal stories.

If the story wasn't overly long, I'd type it out. And I'd carry it around with me for a week and jot notes on it, and then I'd throw it away and do another one.

It would probably surprise people to know that I'm interested in wildlife. I read a lot of poetry, too.

I wouldn't like to just do one story or one type of stories all the time.

Kids used to come round to my house, and I'd force them to do a play in the bay windows of my house and get all the mums and dads to sit and watch. I'd write the programme, write the play and be the star.
