There's more good music being made now than ever before.

If you're only a fan of the old music, that music's gonna wind up sounding even older.

The moment artists can just do what they love to do then music will go right back to where it used to be. I mean back in the '60s and '70s and '80s, that's what it was.

But that is a valid, continuing service that that music - which is, in some cases, 80 or 90 years old - is rendering. And proving its own timelessness.

Music in general is looking for something new overall.

The bottom line is, I tend to be going back to older and older music.

I still love to do the old songs. I know some people don't.
