You can get so many sounds out of one record. Every record can be used in some way.

A record is a message, timeless.

Sometimes you make a record that is what you want to hear. I've made a couple of those, idealized creations of what I wanted to hear. Then there are records that are what you feel.

It is one thing to record an album but it's a huge difference when people play it and listen to it and embrace it the way that I do. It has always been my dream to get my music out to the world and have people hear it.

I don't want to record anything unless it can be great and genuinely interesting.

The record industry is a world within itself.

Modern records are all made with virtually identical gear, software plug-ins and everything. Everybody wants everything to sound like the last thing that was popular because they're chasing their tails.

I'm still amazed by the process of recording.

People love their favorite records. And I aspire to make a record someone might be able to love in that way.
