I have a rule - 'funny is funny!' When I write comedy, it's not my aim to upset people. I will be offensive, edgy and immature, but I will also be very intelligent and relevant. At my shows, there are no holy cows.

People want me to be funny all the time. They think I'm being funny no matter what I say or do and that's not the case.

I think what is important for things to be funny is if you the listener, or the reader, get a chance to supply the humor of it yourself.

Humor writing is something that comes naturally to me.

Everyone who has ever met me for at least five minutes knows I'm a really funny person. I love to laugh and to make people laugh, so writing comedy comes naturally to me.
