I like to stay artistic. So I always like to draw or write.

When I was six, someone in my family gave me a yellow pencil holder that had my name printed on it. I still have it, and when I'm doing table work in rehearsal, I use it to carry my highlighters and other writing utensils. I love it.

I wrote a lot. I was in programs for drawing when I was a kid.

Growing up, I enjoyed drawing, but it was always in the service of an idea. I drew all the time, and I enjoyed making.

Although I still occasionally paint and draw, my life has now been shaped by my writing.

I'm born with a pencil in my hand. I did lots of sketching.

As a child. I grew up on a small farm, so I did a lot of drawings of animals, chickens and people. At the bottom of every page, I'd put a strange scribble. I was emulating adult handwriting, though I didn't actually know how to write.

I loved painting and drawing for many reasons. One of them was that all it really required was me, a pencil and a pad. It was something I was passionate about, and still am.

I always write in pencil, so I can erase.

I always liked creativity, whether it was to draw or sew - any creative assignment I was getting from school, or just on my own.
