I just need to concentrate on each event and accumulate a good score, and hopefully I won't flop in the 800 m. in Gotzis.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
I want to score in every game and win things. That's the most important thing.
The 200 m. is not my best event, and it's something I am learning.
Every time I've had a bad performance at an event, I've come back more determined and focused.
I think the great part about what I do is that there's a scoreboard. At the end of every week, you know how you did. You know how well you prepared. You know whether you executed your game plan. There's a tangible score.
I just want to execute a good 200 m. and see what is the best I can do.
Concentrate, play your game, and don't be afraid to win.
The big push for me is the Olympics this year. If I'm healthy, I'm not worried about my ranking. I think I can hit the ball. It's just about my body cooperating. It's about being able to play matches in a row. Right now, I'm not sure how much I can do with that, but we'll see.
I've realised over the years I play my best when I have time to prepare for each tournament as best as possible.
I'd love to do well on a big weekend with people watching and cheering, of course. But it's not fair to create an expectation level before I know what is realistic. I want to finish as well as possible. Is that top 20? Top 15? Top 25? You just have to play it by ear.
The 200 m. is the event I want to get better at.
