Most people spend their whole lives looking for the right job. There are others who never get an opportunity to do work that fulfils them.

Sometimes, taking a job is like going to a shrink or something, where you get to know yourself better.

Some people seem to sort of have a gut for hiring. I literally had a gut that was exactly the opposite. So whenever I thought someone would be great, it was sort of the opposite.

I have never chosen my next job. I focus on what's in front of me, and serendipity steps in.

I'm not sought after. I never get enough work. It's the history of my career. There just isn't anything to turn down, let me put it that way.

When you first start out, you are just happy to get a job, any job. And as time goes on, either you move forward or screech to a halt.

I feel as though my criteria are based more on how challenging the role is, it doesn't have to fit into any particular profile, is it something that I've never done before, and is it something that I feel like I can really feel challenged and therefore fully engaged in, and that's when the work gets to be the most fun.

We recruit our people for personality. We look for the people person, with innate warmth, sweetness, and intelligence. These are the people who are sending your message out to the customers and potential customers, so we recruit for personality first and foremost.
