So many artists try to be something that they're not.

For the life of me, I'll never understand how you can be an artist but not want people to understand who you are as a person.

To be an artist, you don't have to compose music or paint or be in the movies or write books. It's just a way of living. It has to do with paying attention, remembering, filtering what you see and answering back, participating in life.

I don't think you should categorize yourself as an artist.
