I got into acting to get my foot in the door for film-making.

'In A World...' changed my life a thousand per cent. I feel thankful that something I believed in so much - I love dialect, so I dedicated five years of my life to making a film about it - yielded such rewards. It led to 'Man Up,' as well as 'No Escape,' which comes out later this year... two movies where I am the female lead.

I kind of have a rededication in my life now to acting because I'm very fond of being in this movie.

Acting was the only place that I ever felt like I belonged so went for it with everything I had.

I can't even remember when I first went, 'I want to be an actress.' It's always been inside of me.
