Well I think money has been going into political campaigns for a very long time.

Politicians are addicted to spending and revenue extraction. As with an addict, there's little pause for moral or legal contemplation.

The monied interests are doing what they do best - making money. The rest of us need to do what we can do best - use our voices, our vigor, and our votes.

I get the feeling a lot of politicians are there to help themselves financially, first and foremost.

I don't like to work for politicians because I hate to work on anything that you can't give back if it doesn't work. I sell products. I do a commercial for, say, Meow Mix, and you don't like it, you get your money back. You can return it. Politicians, you can't return. You're with them for four more years. And that's scary.

Politics has become unbelievably and unfortunately way too much about how much money is involved rather than what kind of ideas are involved.

I don't think politicians should be allowed to take money for their campaigns from outside interests.

You can't take money from the taxpayers out of the treasury to give it to pay off your political donors. That's corruption to do that.

Politicians are there to try to deal with stuff, but sometimes it's both fortunate and unfortunate that people like us have more... not involvement, but more power in the stuff that we say.
