Fifteen is such a weird age to be. Nobody treats you like an adult, but you desperately want to be one. You still have these childlike aspects, but you're just kind of coming into the world.

This age thing is all up to you. It's like happiness is up to you. You just have to understand what it is before you get it.

When you are clinically diagnosed with depression as a teenager, sometimes people don't understand it. You feel like you should be happy, especially when you have a very lucky upbringing, and you blame yourself.

Although I've watched myself making the transition from being a girl to being a woman, I still feel 15 years old. My reflection disagrees.

I don't know what 15-year-old doesn't have a desire to separate themselves from their parents and prove their independence.

By the time you're 30, you know who you are inside. You learn to laugh at things you can't change; you learn to be yourself.

It takes courage to stay young, to make your enthusiasms work for you. Don't let anyone drag you down.

When I was 20, I thought I was 30 - but I was so far from it. When you're young, you want everything to happen now. As you mature, you can look back and see all the great things you achieved with time and patience.

I'm happy, and I think being happy keeps you looking young.
