In many cases, jobs that used to be done by people are going to be able to be done through automation. I don't have an answer to that. That's one of the more perplexing problems of society.

What is happening with automation and globalization, that's not going away.

I believe the auto business is a highly comprehensive and complicated business. It's not that easy for people simply to enter and ruin the whole thing.

The United States is a huge market, and once you get rolling, you can replicate that model over and over pretty easily. Your supply lines are taken care of. You don't have technicians to deal with. You've got your customer base.

I know lots of people who work in the U.S. but don't live there.

It is through states that the American people get the job done every day, often in spite of a deeply flawed bureaucratic federal government.
