There are hundreds of stories I've heard from black women from my generation, generations before me, and the next, that have never been given an opportunity to fulfill their dreams.

I'm really looking to reach any woman who's interested in refining and embracing her personal style.

Women inspire me... so I enjoy women's stories and biographies. I am interested in all women.

I am a black woman, and my experiences would not be what they are if I wasn't. I'm so happy to share those experiences for other people to be able to learn from them.

I want to see as many black professionals as possible.

I am interested in people living in the margins of society, and I do have a mission to tell the stories of women of colour in particular. I feel we've been present throughout history, but our voices have been neglected.

I think, really, what I'm interested in is whole women, real people.

Women who have strong identities, who know themselves, really inspire me.

I love writing about black women, but if you go beyond that, we're human beings - and because we're human beings, it's universal for everybody.

All black women aren't sassy, loud, difficult, or subservient. We are, in fact, very complex and very diverse, living very complex and diverse lives. That point cannot be made enough.
