'Different' is such a good word. For me, ever since I was little, I always felt that something was off. And I just didn't have the resources to - I just didn't know what it was.
I think I've always had a disconnect from what I'm supposed to be like.
I was told at first that being different was a bad thing. Everywhere I went, it was just, 'You're too different'... And it turned out that being different was the best thing that ever happened to my career. It is why people travel to my shows. It's why people want to hear my story and buy my book.
I was taught when there's somethin' you can change around keep quiet, you got nothin' to complain about.
And to be different is great. You don't want to be the same.

The thing is, I haven't changed at all.
Still, I tune out the visual input when it is too distracting, mainly in conversations.
