People are afraid of everything.

We all have to be concerned about the world being very dangerous.

The first light of day today revealed what we had feared. The devastation is greater than our worst fears. It's just totally overwhelming.

I was trying to talk about where we are right now as a society, and talk about the fear we all live in, and certainly since 9-11, how it's affected us and the world.

The thing that scares me is a place like the Amazon - which is the size of the continental U.S. and mostly unexplored and has a different ecosystem, there are so many things in there that can kill you.

The stunning thing about the world as it is, is that we have a tremendously large problem in it: namely, one-third of all human deaths, 80-million every year from poverty-related causes, trivial diseases and so on, and stunningly, nobody is really paying attention to it.

I've traveled the world and been about everywhere you can imagine. There's not anything I'm scared of except my wife.

Natural disasters are terrifying - that loss of control, this feeling that something is just going to randomly end your life for absolutely no reason is terrifying. But, what scares me is the human reaction to it and how people behave when the rules of civility and society are obliterated.

We all have a fear of the unknown what one does with that fear will make all the difference in the world.
