I do see myself as someone who has a lot of story ideas.

My stories are often a little mysterious.

Most of my story ideas come from my childhood. Sometimes they hatch from stories my parents told me, sometimes they come from experiences in my own life, and sometimes they are inspired by mere moments.

I don't actually have a one wellspring of inspiration. Though I'm most often inspired while reading - both fiction and nonfiction.

Whenever I write, I try and approach my stories from some kind of universal theme or idea or emotion.

I'm inspired by almost everything I come across in life, and one way or another they find themselves sneaking into my stories.

Stories come to me in mysterious ways, more like dreams than reasoned creations.

From the beginning, when I first got an idea for a story and wondered if I could write it, it has always been the story that has driven me.

Writers do draw inspiration from their own lives, which, quite frankly, might be more interesting than fiction.
