My stories are often a little mysterious.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
I think I write about things that are mysterious to me.
I'm inspired by almost everything I come across in life, and one way or another they find themselves sneaking into my stories.
I find my characters and stories in many varied places; sometimes they pop out of newspaper articles, obscure historical texts, lively dinner party conversations and some even crawl out of the dusty remote recesses of my imagination.
I'm not really a storyteller myself - I tend to get all tangled up when I try and tell stories.
It's true that I'm drawn to unusual stories. Normal roles don't really attract me.
Not exactly but I get inspiration from stories which are unconventional.
I like stories that are not normal, everyday lives. I don't personally seek them out, but they find me.
Most of my story ideas come from my childhood. Sometimes they hatch from stories my parents told me, sometimes they come from experiences in my own life, and sometimes they are inspired by mere moments.
The more things remain obscure and mysterious, the more they interest me. I even try to find mystery in things that have none.
I love telling stories, and am almost entirely unable to keep a secret.
