I'm living in L.A. but my heart's in Vancouver.

I grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia.

After I graduated in Vancouver, I had been working on a book about war-affected children and land mines with the foreign minister - he was working at a place on campus and hired me. I then got a job as a Human Rights and Refugees Officer in London, and I loved working there.

I got an agent when I was 16 up in Vancouver, Canada.

Vancouver is home. I spent a huge amount of time here as a kid growing up with my mom, with my grandparents who lived here.

I grew up in Vancouver and my father drove me to every single one of my acting lessons, auditions, and jobs.

I need a partner in D.C. that cares about jobs.

I like to oversee what I do, so I have a hand in writing my songs. I also have people there to help me with my vision.

The first time I lived in L.A. I was too young. I really wanted to be back home in Vancouver.
