I first started to sing when I started to talk. As soon as I could form words and sounds together, I was singing.

I sing a lot, even with my voice.

Growing up, I was always prancing around and singing... and I just never really stopped.

I always knew I had a voice and I've always known I could sing, but I was too shy to let it come out. I think it's the hardest thing to do, to sing in front of people. When I finally let go and did it, I realized it's what I'm most talented at and what I love to do the most.

I always did sing. It's always been something I love to do but it has also been the most private and most secret thing that you don't really want to let the world in on.

I realised when I sang at family parties and Christmases I'd suddenly get everyone's attention, and, being the youngest of three, I thought what a brilliant attention-seeking ploy it was.

Because everybody always encouraged me to sing, I assumed that I wasn't bad at it. It felt like it was obvious what I was going to pursue. I thought I was good for as long as I can remember.

I've developed a karaoke habit. I've become a crooner.
