Not compromising the music, but there is a way, by just showing the people that you're sincere and honest with what you're doing, and by talking to them.

Music is my way out. I keep things locked up and never say anything. I guess in order to say something to one person, I have to sing it to a couple of thousand. It doesn't make for healthy relationships.

I don't like to talk about girlfriend stuff. It's not necessary. I try to keep my relationships separate from everything else.

Certain kinds of people will always have an issue with my music. But that's fine; it's OK. I don't want to be the McDonald's of music. I don't want to not turn anyone off. If you were everybody's cup of tea, you'd probably be boring.
