A lot of concerts leave you wanting for something good to eat or drink while you're there.

I try to be careful not to do single concerts where I fly out, do my show, turn around and go home.

There's a lot more responsibility at home, so a tour is like the opposite for me. It's like a breath of fresh air.

In general, I usually don't really go by or live my life by a clock, and outside of touring, I don't really ask anyone else to. It's not out of lack of respect for anyone or intentional.

A lot of times you go to a concert, and when you leave, you don't know anything more about the act then when you got there.

I don't go to a lot of shows. If you go to too many shows, then it doesn't become a special thing. Whenever I've been to a concert, it has been such a cool experience.

I've gotten to go to the Opry a couple of times and stand backstage and watch. But I made it a point not to take a tour or stand in the circle until music took me there. I told myself that was one place I'd never go unless music took me there.

I mean, it takes a large entourage to put on a tour. You can't have 'em sittin' around.

I really don't work a whole lot as far as touring, but I do stand-up every night of my life, no matter where I am.

I'm not the kind of person that can do the same thing over and over and over, so that's why touring, playing in a different venue every night, in front of a different audience, is so rewarding, you know, because it always feels fresh.
