The guiding principle is not to manufacture the goods everyone needs, rather to earn profits for a few capitalists.

Profits should be for a purpose. Profits should be productive. You should make money for producing benefits that make the world a better place. Making money is a good thing when it is made in service to humanity or the democracy.

However, leaving everything to the market is not necessarily good for society.

Our position should not be on how to eliminate the competition at all expenses, but we should focus on what we're going to do in order to make sure that Americans turn to the road of prosperity with the trajectory of capitalism, because making a profit is not an evil.

Most people work for the private sector, which cannot exist without profit.

Legitimate profit is good. What's bad is profiteering.
