I've been making arts programmes for almost 50 years, and every day, I can't believe my luck.

Well, you might as well imitate your own program because if you don't, someone else will.

My goal with our American Made program is to inspire people of all ages to become 'doers,' whether it's them learning how to make an easy weekday dinner or starting their own business.

The manuals we got from IBM would show examples of programs and I knew I could do a heck of a lot better than that. So I thought I might have some talent.

I want to give other creatives the opportunity to find the entrepreneur inside themselves and teach them how to build their own platform.

I just want to make something that is true to itself and that interests me; otherwise, how can I have the audacity to think it's going to interest anybody else?

Doing and making positive programming for young people is so important to me, and I will keep doing it.

So, it takes a lot of chance and luck. I mean I was lucky enough to get in the program where people with the same skills never made it to the program. So keep trying.

I would love the opportunity to create my own program. I feel like a TV show with a format of monologue with lots of sketches thrown in could be really fun. But you know, that may never happen. Minimally, I just want to keep making stand-up.

Let us change our traditional attitude to the construction of programs. Instead of imagining that our main task is to instruct a computer what to do, let us concentrate rather on explaining to human beings what we want a computer to do.
