Elves have this superhuman strength, yet they're so graceful. Tolkien created them to be angelic spirits, but I also saw Legolas as something out of the Seven Samurai.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
Legolas is that kind of action elf who pouts a bit, stares off to the distance, and has a couple hero moments, killing with a lethal bow and arrow along the way.
Elves are like trees, grounded and focused from the trunk down but graceful and agile on top.
Legolas in 'Lord Of The Rings' was sent as a bridge from his people into the world of dwarves and humans and wizards and everything else.
Elves are cool, man.
More often than not, however, the person who flatly states 'Elves aren't like that!' is hard pressed to describe how they really look.... as if Tolkien has summoned archetypes from so deep in our minds that we can only recall them incompletely.
Members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir are not superhuman. They are ordinary people with ordinary frailties. But therein lies the power of their example.
Elves live in harmony with the world, and I try to do that.
I really dislike elves.
Hearts are the strongest when they beat in response to noble ideals.
Swords appear strong, but they're actually quite weak. Jesus appears weak, but he's actually quite strong.
