I call my life a beautiful mess and organised chaos. It's just always been like that. My entire life things have been attracted to me and vice versa that turn into chaotic nightmares or I create the chaos myself.

Maybe in my life I sort of put myself in situations that were chaotic, outside of my life.

Please don't think that I am one of those squishy types who can't handle reality. I have plenty of real-world things to deal with all the time. I have deadlines, meetings, I answer the phone, I get turned down, I wait in lines and am forced to pass for normal all the time.

Sometimes I feel I'm living a meaningless life, and I get frightened.

I've always enjoyed things a little more chaotic than most people would prefer. I feel that I run well in chaos.

I do some kind of work, whether writing or painting or recording, on a daily basis. And it's so essential that when I'm involved in the actual process, my so-called 'real life' becomes almost incidental, which becomes worrying.

There was a time when my whole life was in chaos, really, and I didn't help myself sort it out. But one day I came to my senses, and I think I was lucky because a lot of people don't.

I just feel very often like a child in an absolutely weird world. I think that life is quite weird sometimes.

When I am writing a story it feels as real as the life I am experiencing off the page. It's an emotional illusion, I guess.

When you're as chaotic as I am, you need a very firm structure in your life.
