I started my blog as an online diary. I moved to New York for a job, and I kind of wanted to keep my pictures all in one place. Also, I just love style blogs and wanted to join in on the fun!

Really take the time to focus on finding your voice and making sure that whatever you're creating is of high quality and is useful for people in their everyday lives.

Remember to write for yourself, not for a market and give yourself time to develop your own style, your own voice. It takes a lifetime. Enjoy it!

My blog is actually all self-photography unless it's a photo shoot.

I can't write in a whole lot of different styles, trying to please the highbrows one time and the lowbrows the next. I pretty much have a basic style I employ.

I've created a vocabulary of different styles. I draw from many different ways to take a picture. Sometimes I go back to reportage, to journalism.

I just love the whole idea of conversational prints.

For some time it's been my habit to use images when preparing a speech: rather than write it down, I illustrate it.

I know it's a bit of an awful thing to say, but I really just make things up. My main goal is to make a picture that people find interesting to look at and that has my name on it.

I am a blogger - that is an amazing thing for me, because it captures a moment in time every day.
