I'm more interested in characters who are a little difficult.

I always find it easier to portray myself as being unlikeable and idiotic; to actually play a character that is likeable and engages the audience is far more difficult. It's a more subtle kind of challenge.

Everyone is complicated one way or another. But it's interesting to dig into a complicated character, to try to find that within yourself.

I don't really compare any of the characters I play; I try to go into them being very open to what the characters can offer and what I can bring to them and then bring a being to life.

Sometimes I can't get out of the character because the story is very intense.
