As we celebrate Women's History Month this March, it's important to remember the key role women have played in promoting a better understanding and relationships between our country and the rest of the world.

Women are such incredible people. We're so multifaceted, we're so interesting, and any opportunity to celebrate that - because there's been many years of not being able to - and expose what it's like to be female and how we can be whoever we want to be, and do whatever we want to do, is great.

The day may be approaching when the whole world will recognize woman as the equal of man.

I'm working for the women in the world, today; that's my essential issue.

I am proud of the fact that women have been recognised as being as capable, as able to do the senior jobs in Europe as any man.

Within a month I announced I was going to start this initiative: A World of Women for World Peace.

I consider myself to be an international woman.

I am interested in all things that celebrate and enhance the female form.

Personally, I'd like us to have a few more women on the 'Today' programme.
