I don't ever know where I'm going. Because one of the wonderful things about writing, which is different than working in programming, you don't need to know. You could just write and discover where you're going. And it's a great deal of fun.

I'm not the sort of writer who can plan out things. Mostly I have no idea where I'm going.

But, right now, the situation is that almost all of my writing is out of print.

If you don't know where you're going, you will probably end up somewhere else.

When you're reading, you're not where you are; you're in the book. By the same token, I can write anywhere.
