Keep in mind, you can use Auto-Tune and you can know how to work it perfectly, but you still have to know how to write a good song.

I think any song should sound good just played on a solitary instrument with the vocal. If you have those basics you have all you need. The production then just polishes that idea into the finished thing.

I really don't chase songs. I get in the studio, I know what I gotta do; I'm pretty much programmed to do it.
