So when the trend leaders of one social niche or another decide the place everyone is socializing has lost its luster or, more important, its exclusivity, they move on to the next one, taking their followers with them.

People have really gotten comfortable not only sharing more information and different kinds, but more openly and with more people - and that social norm is just something that has evolved over time.

Sharing is the essence of social media.

Social media has changed our lives forever. Some continue to reject social media, refusing to become one of the sheep, but you just can't avoid it.
