I think in all cultural organizations there has to be renewal. I'm also of a certain age that someone new can come in with a breath of fresh air. Things change, and I think that's important.

I think the real needs in the country are for cultural renewal.
Change and renewal are themes in life, aren't they? We keep growing throughout life.
I think it's natural for youth to be drawn to newness: The world is still new for them.
We all know that change is inevitable. It provides us with a challenge and an opportunity to grow and improve and to attract new members with new ideas.
The one thing that I've learned is that people don't change. Each new generation has the same stuff that the last one did. It's one of those things where jazz kind of works in five-year cycles.
So long as a person is capable of self-renewal they are a living being.
To be renewed is everything. What more could one ask for than to have one's youth back again?
There is an opportunity for us to renew ourselves. There's an opportunity for us to leave the past behind and present something different for the future.
It's common for cultural shifts to start with young, urban adopters before going mainstream.
The New Age, I think, is a term that is well laid to rest.
