When you have a smartphone, the things that it can do are kind of ridiculous and terrifying.

It's very difficult to get an audience to be terrified of what's going on. Think about it: You're in a room with so many other people, so for them to be terrified and to care about what's going on on-screen takes a lot of work.

To be honest, sometimes I'm horrified because you don't really know what you look like. If I really knew what I was doing on-screen, I would try to stop doing it.

Everything you see on screen is real. By doing what we do, there's naturally going to be a lot of grimacing. And whimpering.

You don't want to do something that's all terrifying.

I'm not a control freak.

I don't control anything I create.

You really have to create everything in order to come away with a full human being on screen.
