Nobody is playing music like this, like the Allman Brothers, and there's still a lot of fans out there, so that's what we're doing with Les Brers.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
When we started the Allman Brothers, it was all about the music.
I kind of question whether to say this or not, but it's almost like the Allman Brothers turned into an Allman Brothers tribute band.
To be able to take music and do something as profoundly original as what we did with the Allman Brothers, you've got to put some time into it.
I ain't heard anyone play like I do in my band and I am very happy about that.
After we did the last Allman Brothers Band show, my wife and I just packed up and went to France for pretty much all of 2015, and I just got bored; I got the itch. I wanna play.
I don't feel like that many musicians are competitive with each other.
I'm enjoying the hell out of playing straight. It seems to be the case with everybody. We're having a lot more fun. The energy is going into the music now, instead of all the side trips we got into in the '70s.
Whatever our personal differences are, there are no bigger fans of this band than the people who are in this band.
In my opinion, it seems like music is taking a bit of a turn. Look at Mumford and Sons, and the Lumineers. It seems like people and music fans are enjoying the more artistic side of music, and that popular music is taking a turn and accepting that, so I appreciate that.
I love Les Beaux Peeps. Everyone in that band works together really well. I used to go out to see bands a lot; now it seems there just aren't any I like.
