I don't read fashion blogs all that much. I do read magazines, and I trust my friends' opinions, even though we all dress very differently.

I'm not obsessively a follower of fashion in the way I used to be. But I still have all those magazines I bought at the time because I bought ones that felt a little timeless, more like books.

I know fashion can be intensely goofy, but it is something I've always taken pretty seriously.

I do think fashion is fun! Much more than people think.

Fashion is silly. Perhaps I should say fashion in general is silly. But then everything is, in general. If you talk about music in general, it's silly; about magazines, in general, they're silly.

Before I really became interested in fashion, all I would look at in a fashion magazine was the ads. It only dawned on me recently that just looking at the ads really doesn't teach you everything you need to know about the fashion world.
