I couldn't care less about being a presenter at the Oscars.

I find awards frivolous. When I began my career, I was told that I deserved an award for a certain performance, but then I couldn't turn up on the day of the show. Then I was told that the award went to someone else. That's when I realised the truth behind it all.

It's worth turning up to an awards gig if you know you've won one but, since you never do know, it's not worth it.

I don't live for the accolades. I'm more so about the music. Making it, and putting it out. Those are the two best feelings.

Radio continues to be the very best advertising music performers have. No one who ever grabbed a Grammy got there without radio.

The three of us just try put our heads down and stay creative. The awards truly are just cake. It's one of those things that you never expect, but getting the head nod from either the fans or your peers, that's the ultimate compliment.

I feel like if I won an award and I was giving my speech and the music started, that's all I'd remember, the humiliation I felt when the music started. It would mar the entire experience for me.

The Emmy should be an ensemble award, too. I kept howling at everyone else's performances.

There's nothing I would love more than to host an awards show where I'm nominated for an award - that is so funny to me.

I don't know what's going on that I'm hosting the Emmys during really hard times. But I guess it's an honor and a privilege that I'm the one who gets to try to walk that line of making people feel good.
