If you so choose, each day can be filled with even more joy than the one before. If you so choose, even the most seemingly random events can work in your favor.

Of course, most people remember that I received the first perfect 10 in Olympic gymnastics competition.

To me I treat each of my events as something to enjoy.

If I really felt like I was the world's greatest athlete, I'd get 10 great events. But I know that's pretty much not possible. That's the toughness of the decathlon.

A perfect scenario would be to feel like you've just started on every event.

Sometimes I can receive the world and regurgitate my version of events easily and sometimes it's hard.

I do the whole 10-event thing, but at the end of the day, it's still track and field.
