I do loads of one-pot things because I feel like you can't go too far wrong. And I make a lot of soups and casseroles, which is so boring, but it's the only thing I can do!

Casseroles don't have to be about canned ingredients and vegetables you normally wouldn't even think of eating alone, much less stuck in between layers of sauce and breadcrumbs. They can vary from everyone's favorite all-time casserole, macaroni and cheese, to the ultimate English casserole, Shepherd's Pie.

One-pot meals make a lot of sense... because so much of what people hate about cooking is really the cleanup, the mess, the grease.

The one thing that I'm in charge of in this wedding is the food.

I'm a really good cook. I bake a lot. I cook dinner most nights. I cook everything from Italian food to Mexican food. But if I'm going to some place and it's a potluck, I'm always the one to bring dessert!

Pot lucks are fun, especially when you encourage your guests to bring dishes that represent their families or cultures.

Even just a few spices or ethnic condiments that you can keep in your pantry can turn your mundane dishes into a culinary masterpiece.

I like cooking, but I think someone else ought to do the dishes.

My bread and croissants wouldn't win a prize! I'm not an expert in yeast cookery.
