I do like to start on time; I like to set the bar high for people.

I've found that many of the greatest ideas surface in bars because that's where many people cultivate inspiration.

The problem is, women have stopped setting the bar high.

Later, in the afternoon, I read what I did that morning. It's almost always a surprise. But I can read it rationally; edit, polish, re-write, and think what I might do tomorrow in the early darkness.

I try to tell a story the way someone would tell you a story in a bar, with the same kind of timing and pacing.
