I am still feeling my calf strain, so I have been unable to train this week. I will again have to sit out the weekend action, but the lads are climbing ever higher to safety.

Training is full-on. Some days I really don't want to get out of bed and hit that track again. Sunday and Monday morning sessions are always horrible. But who really looks forward to going to work on a Monday morning?
I've done a lot of work in the gym preparing myself for what is certain to be pretty strenuous pre-season training - something I've not previously experienced. And I knocked local football on the head this winter, simply to ensure I didn't pick up any injuries.
I've been training quite hard.
These have always been my legs. I train harder than other guys, eat better, sleep better and wake up thinking about athletics. I think that's probably why I'm a bit of an exception.
How can you train if you're constantly worried about getting injured?
I train about six days a week. I'm training at the same intensity as I did when I was playing football. I've done it for my entire life, and I love it.
I trained well this week but I think it will take some time until I recover my best rhythm in this specialty.
With all the traveling and promotion I've been doing for 'Murderball,' its been difficult keeping up with my rugby training.
I train every day for 3 to 4 and a half hours.
My training has been going really well these past few days and my goal is to keep it up for the next few weeks and hopefully earn a spot on the U.S. Olympic team.
